(Viv loves her some Grandpa)
So this week was not as great as I would have hoped. Tuesday I thought that I just had a little bit of a sore throat, nothing crazy, just annoying, but that night and into Wednesday morning the wrath of an AWFUL cold took it's toll. I was out of commision Wednesday and Thursday, barely even able to hold my head up, and because I'm breastfeeding, the only medicine I was aloud to take was Benedryl, which didn't do anything to help, except put me to sleep. So, I just parked on the recliner for all those days trying to sleep my sickness away, today I still feel icky, but at least I'm functional.
Friday, Vivian had her 8 week well baby appointment and vaccinations. She is a very healthy 12 lbs 23 inches, in the 80th and 90th percentiles. I can't believe she's grown that much, it's nice to know that all of her nutrition and growth is from me (meaning my breast milk). She is a little porker, and definitely has a healthy appetite. It had been so long since I've been around a baby with vaccines, I forgot how horrible they are. Of course in the long run they're necessary, but this weekend was just no fun for little Viv. She had a pretty bad fever yesterday, and when she wasn't sleeping she was crying, which her being a laid back baby, I'm not used to. On top of me being stupid and reading stories on SIDS and Vaccinations, I couldn't sleep at all this weekend! Every 30 minutes I woke up to poke or nudge her to make sure she was still breathing.
Nicolas had his breakfast with Santa at school this weekend also. It was really cute, and Nicolas got to give his wish list to Santa. He made a list of 10 things with 1 backup haha. Of course everything he wants is upwards of $100, but I'm sure I'll manage.
As long as he gets his EASY BAKE OVEN! haha
